Join I-LOFAR and special guest Professor Tom Ray to celebrate the Winter Solstice with an exploration of time through the ages.

Prof Tom Ray (Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies) will describe how people have measured time for thousands of years – it all began with observations of the sky from sites like Newgrange, and now some of the most accurate time measurements come from the sky once again.
We will travel from Neolithic times to the modern day, exploring increasingly ingenious clocks along the way!
This free event will be run online via Zoom and includes an opportunity for attendees to participate in a Q&A session with Prof Tom Ray. There will be ISL interpretation for the duration of the event.
