Space4ExplorationWe run a variety of events for a range of audiences at the I-LOFAR Education Centre as well as in Birr town and the surrounding area. These include walking telescope tours daily in the summer months and year-round for groups, talks with researchers, and hosting evening events including Pint of Science Birr (see more at pintofscience.ie) and Astronomy on Tap Birr.
Since early 2020 our Space4Exploration programme has continued online. You can take a virtual ‘Astronomy in Birr’ Tour and see some of our past live events on our I-LOFAR YouTube channel, including events for Culture Night 2020, Space Week 2020, where we collaborated with OFFline Film Festival in Birr, Solstice and Equinox Talks and Engineers Week 2021 with Niamh Shaw!
